About AusClicks City Guides

These guides have proven extremely popular with locals and visitors alike – not to mention the businesses who get to promote their products and services for free.

From the start the AusClicks City Guides have been free for any local business to list themselves in the appropriate categories. This make our guides very different to other paid directories (Local Search, True Local) and Tourism / Council based sites who typically only list those who are willing and able to pay expensive yearly rates to listed as a business in their own town. We cover our costs and make some small profit on the guides by running Google AdSense ads, some affiliate links, and initially some featured listings.

Ultimately we see our City Guides as a “labour of love” and a way of giving back to the regional communities we have grown up in, driven through, visited, and now live in – all across Australia.

An update to currently guides and an expansion of our portfolio has been in the planning stages for many years. Too many. However in mid-2017 we have kicked into top gear and expect to roll out the first updates and expansion sites during Q3. These are mobile responsive sites developed on the WordPress platform, new and fresh content, more opportunities for locals to stand out in Featured Listings and more.
